FORMS AND CONVENTIONS (COURSEWORK)
- How are you planning to conform to forms and conventions? (consider technical, symbolic, verbal, genre codes)
I was planning to show conventions through my genre of suspense and thriller, by including objects and codes for instance...
the forms within my film build up tension, I show this by starting the film off in the middle of a dream, which the audience doesn't realise till the dream is over.
- Where are you planning to develop on existing forms and conventions?
- I plan to use inspiration-from the Blair witch project, and include text messages which is included in films, however I will twist this idea as the text messages will be nursery rhyme lyrics coming from an unknown number.
I will be using props like dolls, guns, and other small props relating to her childhood, which illustrate the genre code of thriller and suspense.
- Have you made a conscious decision to challenge any particular forms and conventions? If so, how? If not, why not?
The props I will be using will demonstrate the memories of her childhood which challenges the symbolic code.
