CASTING AND CHARACTERS  - There are two characters in my film. 1) The main girl     2) the little girl 1) The main character is a girl who tries to find her way out the forest, however she sees things that take her back to her childhood. 2) The little girl, is a younger version of the main character, which the main character imagines in her dream. There is no dialogue in this film,  mainly character expression and movement which is what I auditioned. CHARACTER 1... This character will be the perfect character for my film. She demonstrates good expressions when acting and does exactly what you ask her to. she's very enthusiastic and takes drama, which shows that she's interested. CHARACTER 2... What do you understand by the term 'setting'? The term setting indicates where a film is based, for example it could be a woods, beach, city or even a house. a setting is a place or surrounding in which an activity or event takes place.  possible settings: -Thetford Forest -pouring land woods What settings do you want to use in your video? The settings I'm using in my film, is pouring-land woods. I will be filming in the day time all day. this season will be winter/spring which is a perfect time for me as it starts to get lighter, but still contain that gloomy feeling. pouringland is set in Norfolk, about 10 minutes away from the centre of Norwich. Living in pouring land is the perfect place as the woods is just down the road from me.  Another setting will be in a house in the same location, this setting creates a meaning as the audience think it's a dream Why are you wanting to create these settings? PLOT The idea of my plot so far, is that the beginning of the film is a flash forward to what will happen. it then goes back to her in her house getting ready for bed and turning the light off. she then appears in the woods and notices weird things start to happen. she starts receiving messages of nursery rhyme lyrics from a number. she then discovers weird objects that she remembers from her childhood which link to those nursery rhymes. she tries to find her way out of the forest and keeps hearing noises and giggles. she then sees this little girl which is actually her when she was young. the girl disappears and reappears in front of her. the girl holds a gun up to her head and smiles. she shoots while the older version falls. it then cuts off and you see the older version wake up in the forest gasping for air in the daytime. it then cuts off and the credits roll.

How are you planning to conform to forms and conventions? (consider technical, symbolic, verbal, genre codes) I was planning to show conventions through my genre of suspense and thriller, by including objects and codes for instance... the forms within my film build up tension, I show this by starting the film off in the middle of a dream, which the audience doesn't realise till the dream is over. Where are you planning to develop on existing forms and conventions? I plan to use inspiration-from the Blair witch project, and include text messages which is included in films, however I will twist this idea as the text messages will be nursery rhyme lyrics coming from an unknown number. I will be using props like dolls, guns, and other small props relating to her childhood, which illustrate the genre code of thriller and suspense. PLAN – THE GOLD RUSH (CABIN ROCKING SCENE) *Setting:   - Set Inside and outside of their home. CUTS AND TRANSITIONS  I have inserted a video that I created and edited my self, using Adobe Premiere Pro.  our task was to produce a short experimental video, using your creativity to apply cuts and transitions to your video. we set off and filmed in various locations and thought of multiple ways to apply cuts and transitions in to our short video.  Transition -  A film transition is a technique used in the post-production process of film editing and video editing by which scenes or shots are combined.
